Pad See Ew: Bangkok street noodles
Pad See Ew is a Bangkok street-food classic. Wide rice noodles (sen yai) are stir-fried on high heat with dark soy sauce, Chinese broccoli and egg. The flavour is salty and smoky, not spicy: often described as the "older brother" of pad thai.

Methodology
The index is based on public sources: Wolt storefronts, restaurants' own websites, Google Maps ratings, Tripadvisor listings. Data collection date: 20 May 2026. Base version included (typically chicken, vegan when available). Prices include Wolt's delivery margin. Sample is 34 Thai restaurants in Helsinki; only restaurants where the dish appears as a main course are included. The value score combines rating and price index: same formula as the pad thai index.
Next release
The index is compiled annually. The summer 2027 release expands to 10 anchor dishes across six cities (Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Tampere, Turku, Oulu).
